This unique course introduces the students to the traditional Islamic Studies of Hadith, Fiqh, Tahweed, Seerah and Tafsir, as taught at the Arabic Language Institute of the Islamic University of Madinah. It is the classical methodology of study as taught by the scholars of Islam for generations in a modern setting. There will be a special emphasis on learning terminology and basic Arabic words and phrases throughout the course. By the end of the course students should have an overview of the traditional islamic sciences and be ready to study more in depth topics or complete the Arabic & Islamic Studies certificate course which will run from 2017 - 2018. It is an intensive course so students are expected to complete about 1-2 hours of self-study daily in addition to classroom hours.
